Opening in June 2019, the new casual dining precinct featuring Shanghai Tea House (August), Funk Coffee (June), Yiros Central (June) is part of Port Adelaide Plaza’s $45-million upgrade. Set under wide awnings, featuring alfresco ceiling fans, gas heating, extended trading hours and over 1000 free car parks, the all new Port Adelaide Plaza casual dining precinct will be a unique and relaxed dining destination for couples and families and is predicted to change the way food lovers West of Adelaide’s CBD choose to dine in the foreseeable future.
Shanghai Tea House is renowned for their high-quality tea selection exclusively imported from China and complemented by all day cook-to-order Chinese gourmet. Dumplings made from their own recipes using a blend of secret flavours and teahouse yum cha are steamed or pan-fried. The combination of decor, cuisine and teas will be a first for the Shanghai Teahouse brand in South Australia.

Joining Shanghai Teahouse is Funk Coffee+Food. With a mantra to stand out from the crowd, Funk Coffee + Food will bring a fresh new flavour and coffee culture to the heart of Port Adelaide. Already well established in Adelaide with 16 locations stretching from the hills, the CBD and seaside, Funk Coffee + Food pride themselves as “a one stop shop where you can rely on exceptional service and quality, an oasis in the busy work day”. Sourcing fresh and local produce from South Australian producers, the popular coffee operators have created a menu that is fun and fresh with delicious seasonal specials that cater for a range of palates and include gluten free and vegetarian options.

Yiros Central has over 25 years of experience in hospitality and pride themselves as a South Australian family owned business. Introducing a new breakfast menu to complement the existing lunch and dinner traditional Turkish and Greek menu. Boasting fresh food and produce that is prepped on site daily, diners can look forward to mouth-watering yiros and wraps packed with quality meats, falafel and AB’s served with salad and flavour-packed home-made sauces, Turkish pastries filled with delectable savoury fillings and for the sweet tooths, Baklava and Turkish Delight.

The casual dining precinct will open alongside a brand-new Aldi and a purpose-built childcare centre - Paisley Park Early Learning Centre in addition to existing anchors Coles, Kmart, Liquorland and Kmart Tyre & Auto.
Paisley Park will be a child care centre like no other and is also scheduled to open in April 2019 as part of the Precision Group’s Port Adelaide Plaza multi-million-dollar redevelopment. Centre co-founder Kat Wieczorek-Ghisso said the indoor centre would enable youngsters to engage in real life experiences which will contribute to their learning.
