The redevelopment of the Port Adelaide Plaza™​ shopping centre has commenced, stage one opened its doors in April 2019 with stage two lined up for a Mid-2020 launch. The $45 million construction project makes it the most significant retail development of its kind in the local area in 40 years.

The total retail spending market for the trade area is forecast to increase to $1,052m by 2021. This equates to total growth of $115m (or +12.2%). It is forecast that on completion of the redevelopment the Centre’s customer traffic will increase from 1.5 million to and expected 3.5 million customers a year

Retail Opportunities

Joining major tenants Kmart, Coles and ALDI, Port Adelaide Plaza will be home to a Health Club, a Medical Centre and a casual dining and restaurant precinct set to transform the local area. The dining precinct includes Yiros Central, Shanghai Teahouse, Boneshaker Cafe, Billy Ming, Funk Cafe and Sushi Hiro opening in December.
